A Tour of My Place

This is the view from inside our living room looking at the front door and our entryway. Ryan, my roomate painted the beautiful piece of artwork we have hanging by our front door. This is a detail view of the painting. There are six distinct images, but can you see the one large image? Click the photo to have a closer look. Note: every image can be enlarged by clicking it.

This view is to the left of our entry way and also displays some more of Ryan's artwork. The piece in the corner is a full-size door that Ryan did a mosaic tile job on and then added a mirror. Here is the view from the couch. The front door is to the right. We need a bigger TV, perhaps a Big Screen in time.

One of the best parts about my duplex is the fireplace. We use it quite often actually. It is always nice to come home and have a fire in the fireplace. Here is a view with the fireplace at my right. This looks across the living room into the dinning room which is our game room.

Here is another view into our game room from the living room. Note our lovely pool table. You can also see through the pantry into the kitchen. This view looks back into the living room but you can see the 7up machine we tend to keep stocked with beer and soda in the game room. Ryan restored this machine, with a little of my help, it is a 1950s vintage Ideal 55 slider.

Ah, she's a beauty...and functional too. Thanks to all new refrigeration components she keeps the beverages at the ideal thirst quenching chill. The foosball table is only on loan, for a few months, but we may end up buying one when we have to give this one back.

A final view in the game room so that you have the benefit of another of Ryan's paintings. Ryan painted everything you see in the place. We have a Butler's Pantry with a double swinging door, it is very cool. We don't have much in here other than barware, and the big cupboard is used as the liquior cabinet. This pantry is very cool indeed.

From the far end of the kitchen you have the opposite view into our Butler's Pantry and you can see where we have the microwave. It is not pictured, but the inside wall of the pantry has sliding glass doors where china would be stored. This picture shows our refrigerator and dual oven gas range. We also have a dishwasher which is shown in the other picture (to the left). The kitchen is spacious and works well for us.

This is the rest of our kitchen. Yes, that is my Zappy scooter. We sometimes ride it inside because, well, our place is so big. :-) Jumping through the hallway that is not pictured, here is a glimpse into our bathroom. We have a huge 9 foot long clawfoot tub that has plenty of room for two.

So, into my bedroom we come. And yep, that's my bed. It fits nicely in my room. With the flash on my camera the room brightens up a lot. This is just a view from one of my two doors (this door is right next to the bathroom). Everything in my room matches. The entire bedroom set is all semi-flat black and chrome.

Okay, so I'm a bit vain. My father made me these mirrors for my last birthday. I like them a lot, very classy and functional. They tilt and can fold in. And the last picture is of my desk where I'm putting this little tour together at. The desk is custom made, my dad built it. I needed something small that could hold my computer, two printers, scanner and speakers. This works perfectly, and I got it in my favorite color. :-)

Thanks for Looking!
